About Us
Like many Pro-American citizens, I have struggled tremendously with the overall attack on our country’s culture, history and state of our great country the last three years. I have debated within for months how or if the Semifit Dad Club brand should promote the club’s views and support on the current state of our great, God-fearing country, whose freedom and principles were built and earned on the shoulders of unmeasurable bravery and sacrifice of true American heroism. With this mindset, I have carefully revised the Semifit Dad Club mission statement. This mission is what I want our logo, our brand and our existence to be associated with. The Semifit Dad Club mission statement as follows:
Establish an encouraging and positive culture for like-minded, morally driven dads (future dads), striving to reach the balance between fatherhood and health, focused on the goal of maximizing individual potential as a man and dad. We attack the day with accountability, compassion, strength and humor.
Sincerely,
Josh

Our Story:
In 2016, Semifit Dad Club began with a group of dads meeting up multiple times each week to train, trade dad stories and provide constructive motivation (trash talk). The club continues today as we motivate each other to show up, be consistent and push towards self goals. The club stands as a badge for those working towards finding best-dad and best-self status. The title "Semifit" is worn proudly as we find the balance between fatherhood, fitness glory and happiness (donuts). The workouts are ugly. The trash talk is unfiltered. The dad stories are real. From the beginning, the SFDC mission has been to motivate like-minded dads to show up, be consistent and push towards self-goals. SFDC represents the everyday, average dude working to find the best version of themselves, while being a present and committed dad balanced with a healthy lifestyle. We like to call ourselves “DAD-LETES”.
The crew was kept locally until July 2020 when we moved the club to social media hoping to spread the inspiration we felt locally, to other dads nationally. Our main social media outlet is Instagram. Through our Instagram SFDC community, we’re proud to share our SFDC flag flies domestically in over 38 states, as well as in South Africa and Poland. Our crew has also joined the podcast community with SFDC-Members Only Podcast, as well as adding a blog titled, The Semifit Dad Blog. Our podcast features discussions with local members as well as members gained through our Instagram account, @semifitdadclub, about dad-life, eating, training as well as some semifitdad-vice.
In 2020, we created a logo flag, which became the official “Dad, that’s not cool” flag of the Semifit Dad Club. The SFDC flag was not just an instrument used to embarrass our spouses and kids, but a symbol for dads fighting the same struggles of time, nutrition, and motivation, reminding them they’re not alone in the fight for semifit dad glory! Shortly after we posted a picture of the local SFDC flag flying in our home garage gym on Instagram, requests were made throughout our social media community asking how to inquire our flags. Shortly after our first batch of flags were sold, we started receiving pictures from crew members showing off their new SFDC flags. Our Instagram account proudly started a tradition of posting pictures of SFDC members flying their SFDC flags. One group in Georgia flying our flag, used the term “SFDC, Georgia Chapter”, starting the tradition we continue to use today as an identifier to highlight which area of the country or world members are representing SFDC from. The Instagram posts began with pictures from domestic garage gyms and homes, but eventually reached international land with multiple flags flying in South Africa. This tradition has grown as our crew has expended into t-shirts, hoodies, and hats. We have always been so proud to post our crew members representing the club and our mission. SFDC dad merch is being worn throughout the United States, as well in Canada! In the beginning of our social media days, an Instagram follower asked for the story behind the SFDC flags. Our initial thoughts consisted of two quotes received in direct messages from individuals that had recently purchased SFDC logo flags. One follower said, “Supporting the movement!”. Another said, “Dads supporting dads!” This mindset and support shared within our Instagram community was the exact vision for SFDC.
Due to the exciting growth of our small Instagram community, our momentum grew as dads were not only supporting our mission to push themselves towards best-dad, best-self desires, but began to motivate each other. These encouraging posts and use of our hashtag, #semifitdadclub, eventually gave birth to our slogan, “Keep motivating”. As our community grows, we strive to “keep motivating” any dad searching for semifit dad glory. Our journey is just getting started as we hope to grow our dad community living as healthy, active, present fathers, ready and available to lead and protect our younger generations into a bright future.
